The small room in the back of the church hall is being converted into an office space for the use by anyone who wants to help with church publications, and Sunday school material. Glen Miller has provided a computer desk, computer and printer, and software for church publications.

Initially Glen will be in that office Tuesdays and Fridays, helping with publications. Anyone who wants to suggest something for us to do, or perhaps learn how to use this very simple system is welcome to pop in and have a chat.

When Carol Trimmier could no longer see the keyboard, Fr. Norm lost his secretary. And since there is no budget for a permanent secretary, the production of bulletins, calendars, newsletters etc. has fallen to Fr. Norm and volunteers.

Work is underway to automate the production of church materials with a new computer application and computer provided by Glen Miller.

Hopefully, Lord willing, Fr. Norm, and anyone who wants to help, will be able to produce bulletins, calendars and send e-mail with the push of a button, by next month.

As part of this task we are asking that everyone in the St. Timothy congregation send their e-mail address to glenmiller1@mac.com.

St Hildas Guild is collecting all sorts of good quality material for the upcoming yard sale in October. This is a major fund raiser for charitable support of the local community. Help is needed for organizing the gifts, and pricing them for the sale.

Also St. Hildas Guild is collecting items to send to servicemen in
Iraq. Please check the list in the Parish House.

Thunderstorms recently damaged the phone system and the Alarm system (now repaired), and for several days Fr. Norm was unable to read his e-mail, nor send e-mails, so if you missed the electronic bulletin, you now know why.

The Modem is being replaced in the computer.

We are putting together a welcome packet for visitors and would like some suggestions from the congregation on what should be included. So far we have:
A New style Bulletin which clearly welcomes visitors on the front and back pages. The liturgy is in bigger typeface and the references to Hymn book and PB are aligned.
The current month calendar.
The actual readings from the King James Bible for Sunday.
A booklet that contains the entire MP and Eucharist in an easy to follow format.
We are considering a brief history of the ACC, and our church buildings.
Also a description of the various working groups, with meeting schedules.
What about a “lunch voucher” for visitors to talk with volunteers from the congregation about the church over lunch?

Fr. Norm gets a new “voice”

We installed a new sound system which has eliminated the fuzziness that has plagued the audio during the last few months (perhaps longer than that).

Father has a “boom” mic instead of the lavalier mic. The old speaker system and amplifier has been disabled, and two studio quality amplified speakers temporarily installed. An echo reduction system has been added.

Last Sunday was the first test of the system and all were happy with the results. Father Norm’s voice could be clearly heard even in the rear pews. Every word of his sermon was heard - for the first time in a very long time, according to some of the congregation.

The system was the gift of Glen and Elaine Miller.

During the next few weeks the interconnecting wires will be hidden.

We will learn how the seven virtues, the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit and the seven Beatitudes are interrelated.

Readings from the 1928 Prayer Book and the King James Bible will be explained including statements from the Church Fathers, and the Divines of the Anglican Church.

The Adult Education classes have been created in order to explain the Gospel of Jesus to this congregation, and to visitors to the Church and the Web Site.

The content of the program is directed to those people already familiar with the doctrine of the Anglican Catholic Church as written in the 1928 Prayer Book, but who may not be familiar with the 39 Articles, the decisions of the first seven Ecumenical councils, and the writings of the early (3rd-11th century) Church Fathers.
